Today I’m excited to share a free printable for subway tile dollhouse wallpaper.

I love the look of subway tile in kitchens and bathrooms and I have been wanting to do subway tile in a dollhouse for some time now. So, I did what any rational miniature’s artist would do – I ordered the Beachside Bungalow dollhouse kit made by Real Good Toys.

Since it’ll take a few days for it to get here, I figured it was the perfect time to design the paper for the bathroom and kitchen!

Here is a preview of what the tile looks like up close:

To create the subway tile wallpaper, I actually measured a real-life subway tile, converted it to 1:12 scale and then recreated a repeating tile pattern to use in Photoshop.

Multiple Paper Sizes Included!

included file sizes

The digital download of this 1:12 scale subway tile wallpaper includes multiple sizes:

  • A4
  • A3
  • Letter
  • Legal
  • Tabloid

While I realize many people do not have A3 or Tabloid size printers at home, having these sizes gives you the option to send the print files to a local print shop so you can have nice large sheets that are easier to cut down to size.

I also included the repeating pattern tile, which will allow you to easily create your own custom-sized sheets in programs like Adobe Photoshop and other similar graphics editing programs for any scale you like!

All of our free printable downloads are created at high resolution 300 ppi so you can be sure they will print beautifully! For paper, I recommend matte photo paper or card stock.

Since printer colors can vary, if you have any issues with it being too dark or too light, you can always edit the papers as necessary. I tested mine on an Epson Eco-Tank 3700 ink-jet printer and an older Canon printer and both seemed to give the same results – thankfully since the tile is mostly grayscale it shouldn’t vary too much between printers!

I hope you enjoy this free printable dollhouse wallpaper and of course, if you have any requests or ideas for future wallpapers you’d like to see, just let me know in the comments section below!
